To Toyota: Help From Joseph Oliver (josepholiver1@yahoo.com) 407-797-5599.
Old Case #1001100522. On November 19, 2010 I had the Windshield replaced, on my 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser (Vin #JTEBU11F870003918) by Safelite Autoglass. During Windshield replacement, the installer found that the Trim/Molding clips were damage and that the Trim/Molding was held by glue, the damage to the holding clips could only be the result of the poor installation of the Evaporator Coil (Invoice #TOCS301652) on December 5, 2009. The replacement of the Evaporator Coil was due to excessive odor when using the A/C, but the replacement part didn't resolve the problem. On November 18, 2010, during a 60,000 mile service interval (Tag #T2940), when I complain that there was still excessive odor when using the A/C, it was found that the reason for the excessive odor was cause by the timing chain cover leakingĀ. It seems that Smithtown Toyota not only did a poor job in the replacement of the Evaporator Coil, but also charged Toyota Corporation for work and parts that were not necessary. Again, it is impossible to know what other damage was done during the replacement of the Evaporator Coil, on December 5, 2009, it is probably hidden. The reason for this email is to demonstrate the poor performance and negative representation of Smithtown Toyota and Bob Maloney, Customer Relations Manager. I do not expect that any action will be taken by the Toyota Corporation, but at least you have been notified and this email will be kept on my records.

Good day RE: Accelerator pedal gets stuck on Yaris almost ending in disaster Let me explain what has happened I purchased a Toyota Yaris (Brand new out of the box) T1-3 door in 2007. Since my purchase of this vehicle I have had a constant battle with Toyota. First the seat belt was faulty, then my water pump went at under 60 000km and then to add insult to injury on my way to work this morning my car and I almost met our untimely demise due to a stuck accelerator pedal. I have contacted Toyota SA and they don't seem to take this incident very seriously. A technician hasn't even been out to check my car. Please help as I feel unsafe in this vehicle and quite frankly do not know how I will get from point A to B in one piece. Furthermore employees at Head office told me that I shouldn't contact them to resolve my issue as this would be futile. (verbatim)

I have a complaint about aluminum wheels. So far I have ruined two tires because the aluminum wheels allow air leaks with temperature changes. There is nothing about this in the manual. There is nothing about how to prevent this. I intend to keep pounding away on this issue with consumer groups until something is done.

I was thrill when my husband bought me my first toyota vios for my 10th yrs wedding anniversary. That was on 14.12.07. Now with a mileage of only 27,850, 1 have sent the car to the workshop 7 times already. The first time was Toyota call me somewhere during the 2nd month to change something in the steering wheel. 2nd time was the alarm went off by itself & 1 have to send the car twice to solve the problem. 3rd time was window cannot shut properly. 4th time was gasket oil leaking. 5th time right side top support absorber problem. 6th time left side top support absorber problem. I am fed-up with sending the car to the workshop. Come on Toyota, don't compromise on your quality. Buck up!

Fremont Toyota negotiated $200 all-weather floor mats into my deal. They never delivered and never refunded the $200. Who should I contact?

i recently refurbish my gearbox trought barlow toyota in middelburg S,A . MODEL 2007 HILUX 3.0D4D. after another 13000km , and complaint about squiking bearing at the clutch, new cluthplate and presure plate with release bearing was fitted on my recuest, there was also a loud humming noise from gears 1,2,3, and 5th gear. i also mentioned that the play on the shaft joint to the drive shaft was to big. toyota replied as follow to my questions:1.the release bearing is starting to colapse.2.that the gearbox is a direct drive and therefore the humming on 1,2,3, and 5th gear, also questioned why 4 gear is not making the noise and toyota replied that the gear is nor part of the direct drive and runs of the other gears therefore no noise. with in 3 hours toyota comunicated that there is a problem with the gearbox and they need to look at the problem. but after a day i had to contact toyota myself, query the delivery and details on the problem .the reply was as follow:the part was ordered and i can only expect my hilux back a week later. i am a sales representitive using this hilux for traveling to my customers and therefore i requested a car from toyota. my phonecall was refer to someone else, and then only told that they will phone me later. as before i phoned toyota to follow up. it was then said that there is no curtesy vehicle availible as al of them was sold.i told toyota that i can not do my work without my vehicle. i phoned again and follow up on the progress of the repair and what was the problem.toyota replied that the gearbox is a casting and they have a problem with some journals welded and that the gears do not mesh 100 %, and that is why its humming.toyota said they just need to asses the damage more before they can tell me when i can have my hilux back. as a toyota customer i question the SERVICE , QUALITY OF THE REPAIR, THE HONESTY TO TOYOTA CUSTOMERS CONCERNING PROBLEMS AND REPAIRS.I AM NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER. THANKS
